Trevor Burnham, hair transplant expert at the Kensington Hair Clinic, answers one of the most common questions that patients ask; How long will my hair transplant take?
FUE procedures can now be completed in one day, normally with an early start of around 7:30 to 8:00am. Your procedure typically starts with a consultation with your surgeon, where they will go through what will be involved during the day and give you a basic outline of what to expect. Most procedures should be completed by approximately 4.30pm in the afternoon. The day is broken down into three stages; incisions, extraction and implantation. Each stage in the hair transplant process takes approximately two hours. During this time you will have a lunch break and in the afternoon you’ll be watching TV or a film. We expect your day to go very smoothly and it could be a lot quicker than we expect if you have followed all of your preparation instructions.

“I had an FUE Transplant with the Kensington Hair clinic back in 2021 & could not recommend them more highly Trish was extremely helpful with the initial consultation & arranging the initial appointments. The team were exceptional on the day & the post-op after care & instructions were amazing. So happy with the results & would absolutely recommend the clinic for anybody considering a hair transplant“
